The Cutting Room Floor gives players a more direct way to explore the branching story of The Casting of Frank Stone. Instead of restarting the entire game to revisit a decision, players can use this feature to review story paths, replay sections, and keep track of collectibles.

The Casting of Frank Stone is a narrative-focused horror adventure from Supermassive Games, with choices and timed button prompts that can affect how events unfold. Decisions may determine whether characters survive, so seeing different outcomes has traditionally meant replaying large portions of a game. The Cutting Room Floor is designed to make that process more manageable.
How the Cutting Room Floor works
The feature becomes available after completing the game once. Players who own the Deluxe Edition can access it from the beginning. It presents a map of the narrative branches in each chapter, showing both outcomes that have been unlocked and routes that remain unexplored.
The overview also tracks collectibles, including how many have been found and how many are available. This can help players decide which chapter to revisit instead of searching through the whole story. Check the chapter map before replaying so you can focus on the missing branch or item you want to find.
Review choices and replay individual sections
Each decision displays a percentage indicating how many players selected that option. Those figures can change as more people play, offering a snapshot of the community’s choices rather than a fixed measure of which option is best.
Players can replay a segment and change later events while retaining choices made in earlier sections. They can also revisit an earlier point and explore how a different decision affects what follows. Some outcomes require a particular combination of choices, so the branching overview can be useful when tracing a route through the story.

How many story outcomes can players expect?
Creative director Steve Goss of Supermassive Games said the number of outcomes is not intended to match The Quarry, which had 186 different outcomes. He suggested comparing the game’s structure with Until Dawn instead. The team focused on a more tightly written story to support character arcs and resolutions, while still giving players meaningful decisions.
That approach means the Cutting Room Floor is useful both for exploring alternate story developments and for collectible or achievement hunting. It also helps players avoid replaying sections that do not relate to the outcome they want to investigate.
