Meetup in Bellabel Park brings a theme park full of multiplayer minigames to Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The update adds a modest visual upgrade, but its main appeal is a collection of cooperative and competitive activities designed for local and wireless play. Here is what players can expect from the attractions shown in a hands-on preview.

Meetup in Bellabel Park: What’s New?
The Switch 2 Edition looks somewhat sharper in docked mode, with a 4K resolution. However, the original Switch version already runs at 1080p and benefits from Wonder’s bright colors and bold art style, so the visual difference is not the primary reason to consider the additional content. The game’s framerate was already solid on Switch, making the new multiplayer activities the more significant addition.
Bellabel Park’s Attraction Central has two sections: Local Multiplayer Plaza and Game Room Plaza. Local Multiplayer Plaza includes 17 attractions, while Game Room Plaza has six activities for online or wireless play. The larger local selection is a useful option for players planning a group session on the same system.

Cooperative Attractions for Playing Together
The preview included Rosalina, a new character exclusive to the downloadable content. She looks distinct, but controls like the existing cast, making her straightforward to pick up for players already familiar with the game.
Each minigame offers several stages with different difficulty levels. The preview sampled only a small number of rounds, so completing every stage across the featured modes would take longer; the approximate estimate was around an hour, depending on player skill.

Draw paths and pass the Bob-omb
One cooperative activity uses the Switch 2’s mouse controls. Two players move Joy-Con 2 controllers across a table to draw paths made of disappearing Donut Blocks, while their teammates cross the course. Communication matters: the paths need to be drawn in straight lines, so players should keep the route simple rather than trying to make diagonal staircases.

Another mode turns a golden Bob-omb into a hot potato. A talking flower calls out which player should hold it, and the group loses time if the bomb is dropped or held by someone else. Players also need to make it to the end of the level before the timer runs out. This activity may be easier with two players, since there is less uncertainty about who should receive the bomb next.

Competitive Minigames and Wireless Play
The competitive attractions offer a change of pace from teamwork. In one mode, players deploy lightning rods that summon bolts after a short delay. The hazards span the screen, while pillars rise and fall, so watching the timing and choosing a safe position are key. The version shown felt relatively simple, though other stages may offer a tougher challenge.

Other activities use indirect competition. In a King Boo game, players collect coins while the ghost is asleep and must stop moving when he wakes. Anyone caught in motion is stunned and loses some coins. A separate fruit-gathering challenge gives each player a baby Yoshi and asks them to collect as much fruit as possible before time runs out.

Local wireless play includes a race in which each participant carries a bouncing ball through a course. Other players appear as ghosts, so they do not collide with one another. The on-screen opponents still make it easy to track the competition, but players must focus on the route: a difficult turn or wall near the finish can cost valuable momentum.

Is Meetup in Bellabel Park a Good Fit for Groups?
The attractions combine quick challenges, teamwork, and friendly competition, making the park best suited to sessions with other players. The preview covered only some of the available stages, so the full range of difficulties and activities will determine how much variety the complete release offers. For families or friends who enjoy playing together, Meetup in Bellabel Park adds a substantial set of multiplayer options to Super Mario Bros. Wonder, while the Switch 2 visual update remains a smaller bonus.
