Battlefield 6 leads the UKIE Game Awards 2026
Developed by Battlefield Studios, including Guildford-based Criterion Games, Battlefield 6 earned two awards at the event. The first-person shooter sold more than seven million units in its first three days, making it the biggest launch in the Battlefield franchise. It also debuted as the best-selling title of 2025 in the United States.
For players comparing this year’s award-winning games, the categories offer a useful starting point: the honours span different platforms and styles rather than focusing on one type of game. The full results below show which titles and teams received recognition.
Other game and industry award winners
Rebellion’s Atomfall won best UK console game, while FuturLab’s Powerwash Simulator was recognised as best UK mobile game. Train Sim World VR: New York, developed by Just Add Water and Dovetail Games, took the mixed reality award.
Glowmade’s King of Meat won for user-generated content. Amazon Game Studios announced that the online multiplayer game’s servers would close on April 9, 2026, after the company said it had not found the audience it had hoped for.
Playstack received best UK publisher for the second consecutive year. nDreams won best UK developer. The Farnborough-based studio had also announced a restructuring that would involve significant staff reductions and the closure of two studios.
UK Games Industry Hall of Fame inductees
Four industry veterans were inducted into the UK Games Industry Hall of Fame: Debbie Bestwick, Richard Bartle, Jon Ingold and Kristian Segerstrale. Their inclusion places individual industry contributions alongside the awards recognising games and organisations.
