Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile servers to shut down in April 2026

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was scheduled to go offline on April 17, 2026, ending access to the mobile battle royale game. The shutdown follows the game’s removal from the iOS and Android app stores in May and Activision’s decision to stop releasing new content and updates.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile server shutdown date

Activision announced that the game’s servers would close on April 17, 2026. Because Warzone Mobile depends on online servers, players would no longer be able to play once those services went offline. The date marks the end of the game’s availability as a playable mobile title, rather than simply the end of new seasonal content.

For players checking their access, the key distinction is between a game account and the servers used to play Warzone Mobile. Keeping an Activision account does not mean the mobile game will remain accessible after its servers close.

Why Activision ended support

Activision said it was proud to bring Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile in an authentic form, but the game did not meet expectations among players who primarily play on mobile devices. The publisher contrasted that result with the game’s performance among PC and console audiences.

Warzone Mobile launched in March 2024. AppMagic estimates that consumer spending in the game reached $1.4 million during the four days after release. That figure is an estimate of consumer spending, not a separate official revenue report from Activision.

What happened before the servers closed?

The game was removed from the iOS and Android app stores in May. Activision said at the time that servers would remain online, but the title would not receive further content or updates. Social features and in-app purchases were also discontinued.

  • Downloads: The game was no longer available to download from the mobile app stores.
  • Updates and content: Activision said it would not provide new updates or content.
  • Social features and purchases: These were discontinued as part of the earlier changes.
  • Gameplay: Access depended on the servers remaining online, which were scheduled to close on April 17, 2026.

Players who still had the game installed should not assume that an existing installation would continue to work after the server closure. Online games generally require active services to support gameplay, so the announced shutdown date was the important deadline for access.

What happens to Activision and guest accounts?

Activision said guest accounts for Warzone Mobile would no longer be accessible after the servers went offline. Activision accounts, however, would remain available through Activision’s websites and other titles that require an account.

If you used an Activision account, you can continue to use that account for supported Activision services and games. That does not preserve access to Warzone Mobile itself. Guest-account users should also note that the publisher specifically said those accounts would not remain accessible after the shutdown.

What the Warzone Mobile shutdown means for players

The planned closure ended the game’s mobile service after a relatively short run following its March 2024 launch. The earlier app-store removal had already stopped new downloads, updates, content releases, social features and in-app purchases; the server closure was the final step that ended gameplay access.

In short, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile servers were scheduled to shut down on April 17, 2026. Activision accounts remain available for use on its websites and in supported titles, but guest accounts and access to the mobile game do not continue after the servers go offline.
