These dates mark different stages of the shutdown. A code that has not been redeemed by the end of 2026 may become unusable, while players who already own games have until the end of February 2027 to download and install them.

What happens to games players already own?

Games that are downloaded and installed can continue to be played as long as they remain installed on the same device. However, after the servers close, players will not be able to re-download earlier purchases. If a game is deleted, it will no longer be available to download again through Legacy Games.

For that reason, check your account before February 28, 2027. Make a list of purchased titles you still want to play, then download and install them while the service is available. Confirm that each installation has completed before relying on it; an incomplete download may not be usable later.
