adminThe Discord Nitro Xbox Game Pass partnership adds gaming benefits for subscribers of both services. Nitro members will receive a “starter edition” of Game Pass at no additional cost, while eligible Game Pass subscribers are set to gain selected Discord Nitro perks. The offer expands the benefits available through each subscription without changing Nitro’s price.

What the Discord Nitro Xbox Game Pass offer includes
The Game Pass starter edition gives Nitro subscribers access to a library of more than 50 PC and console games. The announced selection includes Stardew Valley, Grounded, Hades, Fallout 4 and Doom Eternal. The package also includes ten hours of cloud gaming.
Nitro’s subscription price will remain the same with the Game Pass starter edition included. The announcement does not specify all eligibility requirements or how members should claim the benefit, so subscribers should review the offer details in their accounts before making a decision based on the included games or cloud access.
Discord Nitro rewards for eligible Game Pass subscribers
Eligible Game Pass subscribers will also receive Discord Nitro benefits starting later this month, according to the announcement. These perks include:
- 250 Discord Orbs each month.
- 1.2 times more Orbs for completing Quests.
- Automatic discounts in the Discord Shop.
Discord senior director of product Lu Zhang described the program as Nitro Rewards, introduced to mark Nitro’s 10-year anniversary. Zhang said the program is designed to give members access to gaming services and gear through partnerships that extend beyond Discord and remain available while they are members.
Because the announcement refers to eligible Game Pass subscribers, the benefits may not apply to every plan or account. Check the current offer terms and account eligibility before expecting the monthly Orbs, Quest bonus or Shop discounts.
How the partnership fits with Game Pass changes
The starter edition arrives after Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced price reductions for higher-priced Game Pass subscriptions. Game Pass Ultimate decreased from $29.99 to $22.99 per month, while PC Game Pass dropped from $16.49 to $13.99. Those cuts did not fully undo the 50% price increase Xbox introduced the previous October.
In a message to staff, Sharma said Xbox would work toward a more flexible Game Pass system, adding that it would take time to test and learn. Separately, Sharma announced that development of Gaming Copilot would end on consoles and eventually on mobile devices. These changes form part of a broader effort to reshape Xbox and support a sustainable financial model for Game Pass.
What subscribers should know
The partnership offers different benefits depending on which service a person already subscribes to: Nitro members get the Game Pass starter edition, while eligible Game Pass members receive selected Nitro rewards. The announced details include a game library of more than 50 titles, ten hours of cloud gaming and specific Discord perks, but do not outline every redemption step or eligibility condition.
For anyone comparing subscriptions, the Discord Nitro Xbox Game Pass partnership is worth assessing alongside the current plan price, the games available in the library and the applicable offer terms. Confirm those details through the relevant account before relying on a benefit.
