Destruction AllStars server shutdown: key dates and changes

Sony informed players that ongoing technical issues led to multiplayer services being taken offline immediately. Full server support is scheduled to end on November 25, 2026. The PlayStation Store delisting means new players can no longer purchase the game through that storefront.

Destruction Points, the game’s premium currency, have already been removed from the store. Players with remaining balances should use them before the shutdown deadline. Check the game and account while online services are still available, as features connected to servers may no longer work after support ends.

  • Multiplayer: Taken offline immediately because of ongoing technical issues.
  • Server support: Scheduled to end on November 25, 2026.
  • Destruction Points: No longer available to buy; remaining balances should be redeemed before the deadline.
  • Game access: The title has been delisted from the PlayStation Store.

Which Destruction AllStars modes will remain available?

Single-player mode is expected to remain playable until November 25, 2026. Arcade Mode will also remain accessible to people who already own the game. However, PlayStation has warned that its functionality and player experience may be affected by the server shutdown.

That caveat is important: access to a mode does not guarantee that every feature will continue to work as before. Players planning to return to Arcade Mode should do so before the support deadline and expect possible changes once the servers are no longer supported.

How Destruction AllStars reached this point

Destruction AllStars was initially planned as a full-priced PlayStation 5 launch game in 2020, but its release was delayed until February 2021. It then launched as a free PlayStation Plus title for two months before moving to a £19.99 price. Later, it was added to the PS Plus Extra catalogue.

The closure follows a broader period of change for live-service games. Bungie has announced plans to wind down support for Destiny 2 after 12 years. Sony reported a $204.2 million impairment charge related to Destiny 2’s underperformance in its Q2 financial report, followed by an additional $565 million charge in its latest update.

What players should know about the Destruction AllStars server shutdown

For current owners, the immediate change is that multiplayer is already unavailable. The later November 25, 2026 deadline marks the end of overall server support, while single-player and Arcade Mode access may continue with limitations. Use any remaining Destruction Points before that date, and keep in mind that the game can no longer be obtained from the PlayStation Store.
