The Supernova incubation program has named its first 15 participating game studios, selected from more than 260 applicants in India. The three-month initiative is designed to help early-stage, pre-revenue teams strengthen their development and business plans through mentorship, industry resources and connections with potential partners.

What the Supernova incubation program offers
Launched in July 2026, Supernova provides its selected studios with three months of guidance, industry credits, and introductions to investors and publishers. The program is intended to help each team work on priorities relevant to its own project and business, rather than offering a single solution for every studio.
Participating teams will also have the opportunity to present their work at a Demo Day during this year’s India Game Developers Conference (IGDC). A presentation can help a studio explain its project and progress to industry audiences. However, introductions and the chance to present do not guarantee investment, publishing agreements or commercial success.
The program partners with Tencent, IVIPRO, SpielFabrique, Indus Appstore, Mintegral and Lakshya Digital. Indus Appstore is offering priority onboarding and advertising credits to help participating studios begin user acquisition. For teams preparing to use those credits, it is useful to plan how to measure campaign results and identify the players they hope to reach.
Studios selected for the first cohort
The 15 studios chosen for the inaugural group are:
- Absurd Games
- Team Quasar
- AbhiTech Games
- Konkan Coast Studios
- Dunali Games
- Chitrakala Interactive
- Ashdev Studios
- Compiling Shaders
- Brahman Studios
- Yaari Games
- Funwave Studio
- Arcadon Games
- Shivaansh Artvision
- AnonVision Creative Labs
- Parkince
Rajan Navani, a GDAI board member and chairperson of its Incubation Subcommittee, described the selection as the start of a focused journey for the studios. He said the coming three months would bring mentors, technology partners, publishers and investors together to help each team address its development and business needs.
How Supernova fits into GDAI’s wider work
The Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) represents more than 200 member studios. Alongside Supernova, its broader work includes talent development, global outreach and policy advocacy. The association also hopes to reach more than 25,000 students nationwide.
For the selected teams, the practical value of the Supernova incubation program will depend on how they use the mentorship, credits and industry introductions during the three-month period. The IGDC Demo Day provides a scheduled opportunity to share progress, while the program’s mix of support aims to help studios prepare for their next development and business steps.
