Kudos Games Services leadership team adds operational expertise

Michael Hanna joins as COO after serving on Testronic’s management board, where he gained experience in global quality assurance operations. In his new role, Hanna will oversee the continued development of Kudos’ delivery capabilities.

His remit includes supporting operational excellence, scalable delivery and international growth. For studios and publishers working with external QA teams, consistent processes and the ability to adapt to project needs can be important considerations. A structured approach to expanding services can also help a provider manage increasing demand while maintaining delivery standards.

Hanna has described Kudos as having an established delivery foundation. His stated priority is to build on that base through sustainable, planned growth rather than expansion without a clear operating structure.

Ann Hurley joins as board advisor

Ann Hurley has held a number of senior leadership roles, including general manager at Team17. At Kudos, she will serve as a non-executive director and lead commercial strategy, including work to broaden the company’s client portfolio.

Hurley has pointed to changing needs across the games market, where studios are seeking partners that can combine quality, flexibility and commercial value. These priorities help explain the focus of her advisory role: shaping how Kudos presents its services and develops relationships with prospective and existing clients.

Kudos Games Services’ clients and operations

Kudos provides scalable QA services and support to game studios and publishers. Its clients include Bandai Namco, Warner Bros, Silver Lining Interactive, PQube, Curve Games and Antstream. The company was founded in 2020 alongside digital agency Dunetech and employs more than 100 people across operations in the UK and Tunisia.

Kudos is led by co-CEOs Daniel Atherton and Thouraya Walker. The leadership appointments add operational and commercial responsibilities to the company’s senior team. For clients assessing a QA provider, practical points to consider include the provider’s service scope, communication processes, capacity and ability to support work across locations.

What the appointments mean for Kudos

Hanna’s appointment is centred on delivery capability and operational development, while Hurley’s role focuses on commercial strategy and client growth. Together, those responsibilities address two distinct areas of the business: how services are delivered and how the company develops its position in the market.

The expanded Kudos Games Services leadership team brings experience from Testronic and Team17 into the company’s next stage of development. Its stated priorities are to grow delivery in a structured way and strengthen its commercial reach while continuing to support studios and publishers with QA services.
