Meccha Chameleon made a major commercial debut in June 2026, ranking second in PC revenue behind Fortnite, according to Newzoo. The indie game launched on June 10 and sold more than 15 million copies within its first month, while also placing sixth in Newzoo’s PC engagement rankings.

Meccha Chameleon’s June PC revenue ranking
Created by indie developers Lemorion_1224 and Hagneiro, Meccha Chameleon reached a higher first-month sales figure than several well-known multiplayer releases. Newzoo’s figures put Lethal Company at more than 10 million copies sold over six months and Fall Guys at seven million in its first month.
Newzoo market analyst Mert Şahin said the game’s performance highlights the commercial potential of lower-budget multiplayer experiences built around social play. Its strong revenue position alongside major franchises also shows that a large production budget is not the only route to a broad audience.
For players following new releases, revenue and engagement rankings measure different things: revenue reflects spending, while engagement charts track player activity. A game can perform strongly in one measure without matching that position in the other.
Other notable changes in Newzoo’s June charts
Paralives, a life simulation game, ranked seventh in the PC revenue chart, one place ahead of The Sims 4. Dead by Daylight climbed 16 places to tenth following celebrations for its tenth anniversary. Şahin attributed the continued commercial performance of long-running live-service games to ongoing content and community investment.
On console, Newzoo’s pre-order chart named Grand Theft Auto 6 the highest-grossing title based on five days of pre-orders. The report estimated that the game generated $260 million globally during that period. It was scheduled to launch on November 19.
Engagement rankings changed little across PC and console overall. Fortnite, Counter-Strike 2, Minecraft, Roblox, and League of Legends remained among the games attracting the most players. Obsidian’s Grounded rose more than 250 places to 16th in console engagement after becoming available through PlayStation Plus. The increase illustrates how subscription services can bring established games to new and returning players.
