New publisher PUBLSH launches with Disco Elysium-inspired title Pera Coda

PUBLSH is a new game publisher whose first project is Pera Coda, an episodic murder mystery inspired by Disco Elysium. Developed by Turkish studio Elyzio and its internal division Falan Studio, the game combines point-and-click investigative gameplay with psychological storytelling. Its PC launch is planned for 2027.

PUBLSH’s publishing approach and plans

Headquartered in California, PUBLSH was co-founded in 2025 by CEO Ben Granados and chief strategy officer Samuel Clarke. Both previously held leadership roles at marketing agency Petrol. Granados also co-founded the agency, which has worked with gaming companies and intellectual properties including Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, CD Projekt, Epic Games, Game Science, Krafton, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Tencent.

Clarke says PUBLSH aims to provide experienced, adaptable support to developers, including direct project investment and financing tailored to individual teams. The founders are currently funding the company. PUBLSH is also considering bringing in a small group of external investors who share its long-term plans.

The company describes its goal as providing “publisher-level leadership without publisher-level control.” Its proposed support spans product and portfolio strategy, business development, financing, platform and distribution relationships, audience development, marketing, communications, and launch planning. For studios assessing a publishing partner, the distinction to clarify is how much guidance and practical support are offered while the developer retains control over its creative decisions.

A deliberately small publishing slate

PUBLSH plans to publish roughly four to five games per year and says it will focus on projects with development budgets below $20 million. Clarke characterizes the limited slate as a way to give each partner meaningful attention, rather than spreading the company’s resources across a much larger number of projects.

He says the publisher would rather add substantial value to five development partners and games than become one of many partners on twenty releases. That selective approach is central to the company’s stated model. The annual game target and budget range also give developers an indication of the kinds of projects PUBLSH expects to consider.

Pera Coda is PUBLSH’s first announced game

Pera Coda is an episodic murder mystery built around point-and-click investigation and psychological storytelling. The announced release window is 2027, and PC is the confirmed launch platform. No further release platforms or specific episode schedule are specified in the announcement.

Granados says the project stood out because it has a distinctive voice. He describes Elyzio’s game as atmospheric and intriguing, with fresh, compelling storytelling, and says PUBLSH wants to help bring the studio’s vision to players worldwide. For players interested in narrative-led mysteries, the combination of investigation and psychological storytelling is the clearest indication of the experience the team is aiming to create.

What PUBLSH’s launch means for developers

PUBLSH enters the market with a defined first title, a small planned release slate, and a stated emphasis on close collaboration. Its approach will depend on how its promised financing and operational support work in practice, but the company has outlined a clear preference for selective partnerships and projects with budgets under $20 million.

For now, Pera Coda is the first example of that strategy: an episodic, Disco Elysium-inspired murder mystery from a Turkish development team, planned for PC in 2027. Developers considering PUBLSH may want to discuss funding terms, decision-making responsibilities, and the specific support available for their project before entering a partnership.
