Capcom financial results for the nine months ended December 31, 2025, show higher sales and profits, with the company pointing to growth in its game catalog and popular franchises. Capcom financial results: key figures
Capcom reported increases in net sales, operating income, and net income compared with the same period a year earlier. These measures reflect different aspects of performance: sales show revenue, while operating and net income indicate earnings at different stages of the company’s accounts.
- Net sales: ¥115.3 billion ($748.8 million), up 29.8% year over year
- Operating income: ¥54.3 billion ($352.6 million), up 75.1% year over year
- Net income: ¥38.8 billion ($251.9 million), up 68.6% year over year
When comparing these results with other periods, note both the reporting dates and the currency used. The dollar amounts are reported equivalents of the yen figures.
Game franchises support digital sales
Capcom’s Digital Contents business recorded net sales of ¥73.4 billion ($477.3 million), a 25.4% increase year over year. The company linked the growth to sales of catalog titles, particularly games from the Resident Evil and Street Fighter series. Catalog sales refer to games released earlier that continue to sell after launch.
Resident Evil and Street Fighter performance
The announcement of Resident Evil Requiem, scheduled to launch on February 27, 2026, helped lift sales of other games in the series. Capcom cited Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village among the titles benefiting from the increased interest.
On mobile, Resident Evil Survival Unit passed three million downloads after its release in November 2025. It had reached one million downloads during its first 24 hours. For Street Fighter 6, cumulative global sales exceeded six million units following the release of its Nintendo Switch 2 version. Downloads and unit sales are separate measures, so they should not be treated as directly comparable.
Other series add to the results
Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter also contributed during the period. Capcom said Devil May Cry 5 performed well alongside coordinated pricing and the Netflix adaptation, as the company worked to broaden awareness of the franchise.
Sales of Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak continued to grow. Cumulative sales of Monster Hunter Wilds reached 11 million units following its launch in February 2025. Across the Digital Contents segment, total unit sales were 34.64 million, compared with 30.53 million in the previous fiscal period.
Amusement equipment and fiscal-year outlook
Net sales in Capcom’s Amusement Equipments segment, which includes smart pachislo machines, increased 73.5% to ¥17.7 billion ($115.1 million). This segment is distinct from the company’s digital game sales, so its growth represents another part of the overall business.
Capcom said it expects to meet its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. The nine-month figures provide a view of performance through December 31, but the full-year forecast remains a separate company projection. Overall, Capcom financial results show rising sales and profits, supported by continued demand for both new and catalog titles.
