Resident Evil Requiem tops the US February charts
Resident Evil Requiem debuted as the best-selling game of 2026 in the US at the time of the February report. It ranked first across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC storefronts. Its launch-week sales were 60% higher than those of Resident Evil Village, and unit sales increased by more than 40% when bundled versions were excluded.
A separate bundled release, the Resident Evil Generation Pack for Switch 2, entered the monthly chart at No. 20. It includes Resident Evil 7, Village, and Requiem. When comparing launch figures, it is useful to note whether bundles are included, since they can affect reported unit totals.
Other new games in the February rankings
Four other new releases made the Top 20: Mario Tennis Fever, God of War: Sons of Sparta, My Hero Academia: All’s Justice, and Dragon Quest 7: Reimagined. Dragon Quest 7: Reimagined placed ninth for the month and was the 14th best-selling game of 2026 so far.

Mobile games and overall market spending
Monopoly Go topped the mobile content charts, moving Royal Match to second place. Pokémon Go returned to the Top 10 after climbing eight positions. Sensor Tower’s Bryan Isagholian reported that Pokémon Go revenue grew 61% month over month, attributing the rise likely to the Road to Kalos event, which launched in late February. The report also anticipated daily revenue continuing to rise into early March before the event ended.
The US video game market generated $4.6 billion in February, with spending on content reaching $4 billion. Both figures were flat year over year. Growth in non-subscription sales, up 27%, and the performance of Requiem supported the month’s results.
Switch 2 hardware gains ground
Hardware revenue grew 22% year over year to £326 million. Switch 2 sales helped offset declines for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, although PS5 remained the leader in both unit and dollar sales. Switch 2 ranked second for the month.
Nine months after launch, Switch 2’s life-to-date installed base was 45% higher than the original Switch’s at the same point in its market life. This comparison reflects the first nine months for each console, rather than their total lifetime sales.
What the February results show
Resident Evil Requiem’s top ranking and launch-week sales advantage over Village made it a standout release in February. The charts also highlight strong Switch 2 hardware momentum and shifts in mobile game rankings. For the clearest comparison, keep the reporting period and digital-sales exclusions in mind when reading the Circana rankings.
