Room 8 Group appoints Juanita Draude as CEO

Room 8 Group has appointed Juanita Draude as its new CEO, bringing a leader with more than 20 years of experience across media, technology and entertainment into the role. She succeeds Anna Kozlova, who led the company for seven years before stepping down last month. The appointment comes as Room 8 Group continues to develop its technology and game development services.

Room 8 Group CEO appointment and Draude’s background

Draude has held leadership positions at advertising groups Monks and Publicis Groupe, as well as at the NBA and NBC Universal. Her experience spans several industries connected to entertainment and audience engagement. Room 8 Group says she will lead its next phase of development as it seeks to bring more of its capabilities together for developers and publishers.

In her comments on the appointment, Draude described the role as an opportunity to help the company respond to changes in the games industry. She pointed to the increasingly varied skills involved in game production and said Room 8 Group aims to operate as an integrated, technology-driven partner across the production lifecycle.

For clients and industry observers, the practical point to watch is how that stated direction is reflected in the company’s services. Draude also highlighted the importance of long-term partnerships and audience experiences, while drawing on her background in media, entertainment and advertising.

Company strategy focuses on integrated production

Room 8 Group chief content officer Julien Proux said Draude’s leadership approach aligns with the company’s ongoing transformation. He described the goal as building a more connected, technology-enabled development organisation that can support collaborative production at scale.

Proux also said the company has been moving beyond traditional service delivery toward connected production ecosystems. The approach brings creative, engineering and operational expertise into a unified framework. This indicates that the group’s strategy is not limited to adding individual services; it also involves coordinating different areas of work within a more integrated model.

Recent leadership and brand changes

Earlier this year, Room 8 Group expanded its leadership team as it developed its technology and game development offerings. Guillaume Carmona, previously VP of productions, was promoted to VP of game development. Before joining this role, he spent 14 years at Ubisoft, including four years as studio director at Ubisoft Montpellier.

Yann Le Tensorer was appointed VP of technology after two decades in various roles at Ubisoft. The company also announced that it would bring its Solid Bash and Dragons Lake brands together under the Room 8 Group name.

Together, these moves provide context for the CEO transition: the company has been adjusting its leadership structure and consolidating its brand while emphasizing technology and game development. The key detail in the Room 8 Group CEO appointment is how Draude’s experience and the organisation’s stated integration plans translate into support for developers and publishers across production.
